Created in August 1983, l’Ordre des Dames du Vin et de la Table (ODVT) is the first female Bacchic Order on a national level. It unites about 100 women whose professional activities involve the art of wine, the art of cuisine and the art of living.  The Order also welcomes fellow chevaliers.

Purpose

The confraternity’s goal is to bring to light the talent and role of women in the production, culture and diffusion of wine throughout the world (wine makers, oenologists, negociants, wine merchants) and all professionals who celebrate the association of wine and gastronomy and the art of cuisine (sommeliers, chefs, restaurateurs, designers and creators).

The Order is a member of the International Associated Women in Wine, the international federation of associations of professional women in the world of wine.
